Themed Horse Guided Empowerment Day
One theme, one day, a small group and the herd.
11:00 until sunset · 8 to 10 adults · at the SARJ barn, outside Cairo
Want the day for your own group, on a date of your own? Enquire.
Each day is built around one theme worth staying with, such as courage, grief, truth, muru'a, trust, relationships, boundaries or direction. The day starts at eleven and ends at sunset, with a small group. Most of the day is spent on foot beside the horses, in the paddock and around the barn. Between the horse work there is time to sit, reflect, eat and talk, and the day draws on the inherited practices and the spiritual side that belong to its theme. Whatever a horse shows you is yours to read.

11:00 · Arriving and meeting the herd
The day opens with its theme and a first meeting with the herd. You stand among the horses without touching or speaking, and simply notice which horse draws you and which unsettles you.
Through the day · Working beside the horses
The group works with the horses on foot through a series of exercises. After each one, you sit in a circle to talk about what happened. In between there is time to eat, rest, and sit with the theme and the wisdom it carries.
Sunset · Closing
As the light fades, there is a last moment with the herd and a closing circle where each person says what they are taking home.
This is what we can tell you about the day. The rest happens in the paddock.
You need no experience with horses.
All the work is on the ground, on foot, with no riding. The group is small, two facilitators are with you throughout, and you go at your own pace. Your booking confirmation includes the location, what to bring and the consent form, which you also sign on the day.
Is there horse riding?
No. Horse Guided Empowerment is ground work with the horses, without words.
Do I need experience with horses?
No experience is needed.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes for being outdoors, and closed shoes such as trainers, which you need for safety.
Can I bring my children?
Themed days are for adults. Families can book a private family experience, and SARJ runs a programme for young people.
Can I give a place as a gift?
Yes, with one request: tell the person. The day works best when they choose to be there, not as a surprise.
What if I cannot come on the day?
You can move your place to another date, or give it to someone else, with at least 72 hours' notice. See our booking and cancellation terms.
How do I get to the barn?
The barn is in Orabi Agricultural City, outside Cairo. Your confirmation includes the location pin and directions.
